Review and Buying Guide of Netgear Fs208-100uks 8 Port Fast Ethernet 10/100 Mbps Switch

Exceptional value for money. . I required a plug-and-play switch to extend the 4 ports on my wireless world-wide-web router and right after reading the evaluations i made a decision on the netgear fs208-100uks due to the fact it has 8 ports and is pretty smaller. I have three pcs related by way of it and all appear to do the job high-quality with no fall-outs or disconnections. The only advancement i would suggest is some kind of bracket to hold it, both on top rated of the desk or below the desk, because it is quite mild and is pulled down by the community cables. I endorse this product if you are searching for a rapid and easy way to extend your community.

A great seeking switch, respectable dimension and is not going to look out of position with new tech. Performs like any switch really should.

A excellent piece of kit that is effective. A fantastic piece of kit that works, if you have a amount of devices to be related to online then this is it.

“Excellent value for money., Good quality hub, Easy Extra Ethernet Connections, Good Reliable Product, Nice, neat and tidy, A great piece of kit that works”

Plug and enjoy more than mains ethernet plugs amazing for me.

Great bit of kit all equipped, great services.

Quick more ethernet connections. I am guaranteed i’m not the only a person who finds that half of their online enabled machines requires a wired connection and a router can only usually supply 4 ethernet outputs, so what do you do?an ethernet switch is a wonderful solution to this situation and demands definitely no technological ability. All you want to do is plug in an ethernet cable from your modem/router to one particular of the ports and then use the relaxation of the ports to provide online via extra ethernet cables to any device that demands world-wide-web. Even far more beneficial, if you have a homeplug/powerline put in which only has a person ethernet out port, use 1 of these gadgets to give you another 8 ports to provide wired internet to your devices. This specific netgear switch arrives with a good searching white box with green leds on the entrance to clearly show obviously wherever info is becoming sent and a power cable. There are, regretably, no spare ethernet cables incorporated, so it can be truly worth purchasing a couple of amazon essentials cables (they are all really very good in my working experience) at the same time. Transient recommendations are involved with a pictorial representation of the connections you will want to make, but it can be all extremely easy and 5 minutes afterwards it ought to all be put in and performing.

Excellent value for money. . I required a plug-and-play switch to expand the four ports on my wireless internet router and after reading the reviews i decided on the netgear fs208-100uks because it has 8 ports and is very small. I have three pcs connected through it and all seem to work fine with no drop-outs or disconnections. The only improvement i would suggest is some kind of bracket to hold it, either on top of the desk or under the desk, because it is very light and is pulled down by the network cables. I recommend this product if you are looking for a quick and easy way to expand your network.

This is the perfect answer to getting a network to another location, use a cable or wireless connection from a computer to have an extension to the network,so easy to set up works from the box, well pleased. Put a network connection into the box and feed other equipment from the box.

I was really just after a more powerful router, and that’s exactly what i got from this. My only downside is the cosmetic design which just looks a bit dated.

I got the netgear hub to replace my old one, which had died after years of long service. It’s hard to review these; it seems solid enough, you plug it in, connect to a network point via an ethernet cable, and plug devices into it. Network connectivity ensues. On this basis, it works as well as i would expect, and has the added benefit of lights telling you if a port is active.

I wanted to tidy up a mess of cables. One long connection to the router and the rest much shorter to our pcs and printer via the fs208. The switch is tiny so easily fitted in most places. You’ll need a spare mains socket.

I have had network issues before but was able to get this device working within minutes. It has allowed me to run a fast and trouble free network while other products have failed. It’s light & easy to install. Yes, wireless is rapidly replacing such tools and the necessity will eventually be diminished to such an extent that i suspect few people will be manufacturing these devices. But they offer stability and peace of mind, where wireless sometimes does not. The green led’s make it clear when data is being transferred and it comes with one ethernet cable. The slim and light, white box looks fine.

Easy extra ethernet connections. I’m sure i’m not the only one who finds that half of their internet enabled equipment requires a wired connection and a router can only usually provide 4 ethernet outputs, so what do you do?an ethernet switch is a great answer to this issue and requires absolutely no technical skill. All you need to do is plug in an ethernet cable from your modem/router to one of the ports and then use the rest of the ports to supply internet via more ethernet cables to any device that requires internet. Even more useful, if you have a homeplug/powerline installed which only has one ethernet out port, use one of these devices to give you another 8 ports to supply wired internet to your equipment. This particular netgear switch comes with a nice looking white box with green leds on the front to show clearly where data is being sent and a power cable. There are, unfortunately, no spare ethernet cables included, so it’s worth ordering a few amazon basics cables (they’re all pretty good in my experience) at the same time. Brief instructions are included with a pictorial representation of the connections you will need to make, but it’s all very simple and 5 minutes later it should all be installed and working.
